FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Academy teams continued their bright start to the 2015-16 season, going an unbeaten 2-0-1 against Albertson SC on Sunday at the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Garden City, N.Y. The Under-18s and Under-16s each earned 1-0 wins to open the day, before the Under-14s tied 0-0 with their Long Island rivals to ensure all three Academy sides shutout Albertson.
UNDER-18s
The Under-18s began the day with a 1-0 win over Albertson SC to continue their winning start to the season. A late goal from Justin Rennicks (South Hamilton, Mass.) clinched the full three points for the Revs in an even game. In the 77th minute, John Wilkins (Natick, Mass.) found Rennicks with a quick throw-in, catching the Albertson defense unaware, and the forward dribbled toward goal before finishing past the goalkeeper to make the score 1-0.
At the other end of the field, Trey Miller (Monson, Mass.) was making his first start of the season and made six saves on his way to preserving a shutout.

UNDER-16s
The Under-16s also continued their perfect start to the season, earning their second consecutive 1-0 win with victory over Albertson. It took until the second half for the Revs to find the opening goal, and it eventually came from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute. Tyler Freitas (North Attleborough, Mass.) dribbled down the left wing before slipping a ball through for Tim Ennin (East Hartford, Conn.), who was immediately tripped up from behind inside the area, earning his side a penalty kick. Gustavo Cassemiro (Framingham, Mass.) stepped up to convert the spot kick for his first goal of the year.
Revs goalkeeper Eddie Walsh (Westwood, Mass.) made two saves on his way to recording his second consecutive shutout, while the U-16s are yet to concede a goal in the 2015-16 season.

UNDER-14s
The Under-14s completed the Revolution Academy’s shutout streak on the day, tying 0-0 with Albertson. Despite having most of the play throughout the game, the U-14s were unable to find a breakthrough as the Albertson defense held firm.
The Revs had 12 shots in the game, with Elio Firmino (Somerville, Mass.) and Jonathan Ferreira (Ashland, Mass.) each missing the target when well placed inside the Albertson area in the second half. In goal, Connel O’Brien (Rochester, N.H.) made his first start with the Revolution Academy and kept the Revs’ third clean sheet of the day with two saves.
