FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution are set to begin their 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League campaign against Mexican side Pumas UNAM in Leg 1 of the Quarterfinal Round tonight at Gillette Stadium. The match kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET and airs nationally on FS2 and TUDN, and locally on the radio via 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.

- Today’s Starting XI features two changes from last Saturday’s MLS home opener against FC Dallas, with defender Omar Gonzalez and midfielder Arnór Traustason starting in place of Henry Kessler and Tommy McNamara.
- New England’s starting lineup features nine players making their debuts in Concacaf Champions League competition: Earl Edwards Jr., DeJuan Jones, Andrew Farrell, Brandon Bye, Matt Polster, Arnór Traustason, Carles Gil, Gustavo Bou, and Adam Buksa.
- Omar Gonzalez owns a team-high 28 appearances in CCL play, most recently featuring for Toronto FC in the continental competition in 2021. The defender won the tournament in 2017 as a member of Liga MX side C.F. Pachuca.
- Sebastian Lletget owns four appearances and one assist in CCL competition with the LA Galaxy. The midfielder started and played 69 minutes last Saturday in his first match at Gillette Stadium as a member of the Revolution.
- Andrew Farrell collects his 300th appearance across all competitions in a New England uniform. Farrell trails Matt Reis (301) and Shalrie Joseph (305) on the club’s all-time list.
- Carles Gil has earned consecutive MLS Team of the Week appearances to start the 2022 campaign. The reigning MLS MVP netted the game-winning goal via penalty kick in last Saturday’s 1-0 win over FC Dallas.
- Earl Edwards Jr. becomes the third different goalkeeper in club history to start a CCL match, joining Matt Reis and Doug Warren. Edwards Jr. collected his first MLS clean sheet in last Saturday’s match.

- A.J. DeLaGarza’s next CCL appearance will be his 25th in the tournament. DeLaGarza owns one goal and one assist in Champions League action.
- Midfielders Tommy McNamara and Emmanuel Boateng own four and two appearances, respectively, in CCL play.
- Goalkeeper Brad Knighton, now in his record 12th season with the Revolution, returns to the matchday squad for the first time in 2022.
What to Watch For:
- The Revolution appearing in international competition for the first time since 2010, when the Revolution finished as runners-up in the North American SuperLiga, and in Concacaf Champions League for the first time since 2008.
- The Revs defeating Pumas for the second time in as many meetings, having won the previous matchup, 1-0, in the 2010 SuperLiga at Gillette Stadium.
- Revolution Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena, who became the winningest regular season coach in MLS history last Saturday with league win No. 241, improving upon his 43-18-25 record across all competitions with New England.
- Arena coaching his third different team (D.C. United, LA Galaxy) in a Concacaf continental tournament. Arena won the Concacaf Champions Cup in 1998 with D.C. United.
