FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution announced today that the club has signed 2016 MLS SuperDraft pick Jordan McCrary to a contract. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
McCrary was selected by the Revolution with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. The defender was a four-year starter at the University of North Carolina, where he started all 86 games in which he appeared. McCrary helped the Tar Heels to an NCAA College Cup as a freshman in 2011, earning All-ACC Freshman Team and College Soccer News Freshman All-American selections for his standout performance. After redshirting in 2014 due to a knee injury, McCrary returned in 2015, and tallied a career-high five assists.
The Marietta, Ga., native has also played for the U.S. National Team program at the U-15, U-17, U-18, and U-20 levels.
