FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution travels to Chicago for its season opener on Saturday, March 9, but fans can be part of the action at watch parties held in partnership with the team’s two recognized supporters groups – The Midnight Riders and The Rebellion – in Boston and Providence.
Watch parties will be held simultaneously at two official pub partners of the Revolution: The Banshee in Boston with the Midnight Riders, and Rí Rá in Providence with The Rebellion. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.
There is no cover charge for the events and they are open to the general public, ages 21 and older. Though held in partnership with the team’s supporters groups, the events are open to all fans, regardless of affiliation.
Fans in attendance will be eligible for Revolution and Budweiser giveaways, and will have the opportunity win tickets to the home opener against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, March 23. In Boston, The Midnight Riders will hold a raffle to benefit the Kirk Urso Memorial Fund. Raffle prizes include an autographed #15 Stephen McCarthy jersey. (McCarthy changed his number from #26 to #15 this off-season in tribute to Urso, the late Columbus Crew midfielder who passed away suddenly in 2012. McCarthy and Urso were friends and teammates at the University of North Carolina.)
The Rev Girls will also attend each event.
