How Acquired: Traded to the Revolution from Toronto FC on Dec. 18, 2014 in exchange for New England’s fourth round pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft
2014: Hall was limited to just three league appearances for Toronto FC and five appearances in all competitions. He made his season debut on March 29, starting in a 3-0 loss to Real Salt Lake. He would go on to start a total of two league games and two Amway Canadian Championship games for the club before being traded to New England following Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Process.
2013: Hall set career-highs in games played, games started and minutes played in 2013, appearing in 31 games for TFC and starting 26 while playing 2,280 minutes, which were the most amongst Toronto FC field players. He finished the year with one goal and one assist, scoring in a 1-1 home draw with Houston on April 20 and setting up a Jonathan Osorio goal in another 1-1 home draw with Philadelphia on June 1. He also played once in the Amway Canadian Championship
2012: Hall spent the 2012 season with Toronto FC after being traded to the club in November 2011. He made 23 appearances for the club, starting 19 times and scoring one goal, with that coming on June 20 at Houston when he opened the scoring in a 3-3 draw. After missing the first two months of the season, Hall made his TFC debut on May 5, coming off the bench in place of Torsten Frings in a 2-0 loss at D.C. United. His first start for the club came two weeks later against United, playing the full 90 minutes at right back in a 3-1 loss. He also played in four CONCACAF Champions League games that season, helping TFC reach the Champions League Semifinals, and three Amway Canadian Championship matches.
2011: Began the season with the expansion Portland Timbers after being traded to the club in November 2010 and had a career-high three assists in 17 games with the club, all of which were starts. He started in midfield in Portland’s inaugural game, a 3-1 loss to Colorado on March 19 and collected his first assist for the club on April 2 in a 1-1 draw with New England, setting up a Jack Jewsbury goal that gave Portland its first ever point. On April 14, Hall played 68 minutes in the Timbers’ home opener, helping the club earn a 4-2 win over Chicago for their first-ever victory. He would add assists at home against D.C. United on May 29 and on the road against San Jose on Aug. 6 before being traded to FC Dallas on Aug. 19 in exchange for Eric Alexander. He appeared in four more games for FC Dallas, starting twice. On Nov. 29, Hall was on the move again as he was traded to Toronto FC in exchange for a second round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
2010: Hall was limited to just 13 appearances and nine starts in his second season with New York, once again tallying one assist. That came on April 24 when he set up an Ibrahim Salou strike in the second half of a 2-1 win over Philadelphia. He was limited to just two appearances in the league after June 2, but he did return to the lineup in late October, starting the regular-season finale against New England on Oct. 21 and then coming off the bench in both legs of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Series against San Jose. Hall was traded to the expansion Portland Timbers on Nov. 22 in exchange for a third round pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.
2009: Selected by the New York Red Bulls in the first round (11th overall) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, Hall appeared in 24 games during his rookie season, starting 22 times and tallying one assist. He made his MLS debut on March 19 at Seattle, coming on midway through the first half in place of Andrew Boyens. He tallied his only assist of the season in the regular-season finale against Toronto FC, setting up a Juan Pablo Angel goal early in the second half of a 5-0 New York win.
COLLEGE
Hall appeared in 66 games in his three years at the University of Maryland, scoring 26 goals and adding 14 assists while helping the Terrapins win the 2008 College Cup when he was named a College Soccer News All-American. He enjoyed his best season as a junior in 2008, setting career-highs with 14 goals and seven assists in 26 games as Maryland won its second national title in four years. He also earned First Team All-ACC honors that year and was named the MVP of the ACC Tournament after scoring the game-winning goal in the ACC Championship win over Virginia. The ACC Freshman of the Year as well as a Soccer America and College Soccer News first team All-Freshman performer in 2006, Hall had seven goals, which were the second-most on the team, and three assists in his first season at Maryland.
U.S. NATIONAL TEAM
Hall represented the United States at the 2005 FIFA Under-17 World Youth Championship in Peru, appearing in three of his team’s four games. Hall started in the Group Stage finale against the Ivory Coast, scoring the only goal of the game for the U.S. in a 1-1 draw. He was a teammate of current Revolution teammate Kevin Alston in that squad. Hall was a member of the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Residency Program from Fall 2003 through Spring 2006 before heading to the University of Maryland.
