FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution waived second-year defender Seth Sinovic today.
Sinovic, 24, made 20 appearances as a rookie in 2010, with 18 starts. He played almost exclusively as a left back, with one start at right back. He did not make an appearance yet in 2011. The Revolution drafted the Leawood, Kan., product in the second round (25th overall) in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft out of Creighton University.
The Revolution (1-0-1, 4 pts.) will host the expansion Portland Timbers on Saturday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium (TV: Comcast SportsNet New England; Radio: 98.5 The Sports Hub).
