The Revolution Academy is an elite player development program that provides the region’s top youth players with unprecedented access to the Revolution's esteemed Pro Player Pathway, which develops players for the Major League Soccer (MLS), MLS NEXT Pro, and MLS NEXT levels. The program's success has resulted in back-to-back MLS NEXT Cup national championships in the Under-19 division, and more than a dozen MLS Homegrown signings. Importantly, the Revolution Academy youth teams are entirely fully funded, eliminating costly barriers to entry for players and their families. Tryout opportunities for our MLS NEXT Academy teams take place periodically.
Residency Program
Launched in 2019, the Academy Residency Program includes three homes located within walking distance of Gillette Stadium and the Revolution Training Center, the state-of-the-art facility that serves as the headquarters for the Revolution first team, Revolution II, and the Academy. In the residency homes, players live full-time on-site as they continue their development in the Revolution's pro pathway. With two adult guardians in each home, residency players benefit from their proximity to the club's elite training environment, while also continuing their high school educations online. During their tenure in the residency, their academic and athletic progress is closely monitored by Academy staff to ensure the holistic development of the player and person.
