Happy September Junior Revs!

MLS regular season is back! August saw the Revs advance through the group stage of Leagues Cup before eventually falling to NYCFC in the Round of 32. Regular season play resumed with a trip to CF Montréal where the Revs dominated the match by winning 5-0! It was a goal-fest with four different players scoring for the Revs. Nick Lima and Giacomo Vrioni each had one, Bobby Wood notched two goals, and our new signing Luca Langoni made his first appearance and contributed with a goal and an assist! It was also great to see Revolution captain, Carles Gil, back on the pitch and getting back into action with an assist.

September is a busy month with home matches, awareness nights, and giveaways! First up, St. Louis City SC comes to Gillette Stadium for the first ever match between the clubs. It will be our annual Concussion Awareness Night that will feature orange elements as well as the ThinkTaylor pledge. Get to ticket gates early as you’ll have a chance to receive a free commemorative match pennant! On Sept. 18, the Revs will host CF Montréal during our eSports Night! The matchday will be filled with videogame content and giveaways! The last home match of the month is on Sept. 28 as the Revs host Nashville SC during our annual Fight Childhood Cancer Match! In addition to Fan Zone activations, there will also be a Fight Childhood Cancer captain armband giveaway at ticket gates! The design of the armband was created by a pediatric cancer patient. Hope to see you out at all those!

Although August was quieter on the pitch, there was a lot going on off the pitch! With the summer transfer window open, the Revs made four big moves to push the team into playoff contention. The first saw long-time defender, DeJuan Jones, head to the Columbus Crew in a trade for defender, Will Sand, and $600k in General Allocation Money. We will sure miss DeJuan, but we are happy to welcome Will to the club! Just days later, the Revs made a splash with a club-record transfer to acquire winger, Luca Langoni. The 22-year-old Argentinian last played with Club Atlético Boca Juniors. Not too long after that, the Revs engaged in another trade, this time with St. Louis City SC. The trade saw Revolution defender, Henry Kessler, head to the Midwest in exchange for defender, Tim Parker and $600k in General Allocation Money. We wish Henry the best of luck while welcoming an experienced MLS veteran in Tim! Finally, the Revs acquired Nigerian central midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf, from Royal Antwerp FC. He brings Champions League experience at just 24 years old! Welcome, Alhassan!

Just a reminder, to check in at the Junior Revs tent in Fan Zone, located in the plaza outside the Gillette Stadium ProShop, on your way into the stadium for each home match. We’re out there until kick off so there’s plenty of time to stop by! If you miss us, you can check in at any of the guest services locations on the concourse. Don’t forget, the more matches you attend and check in for, the better the prize at the end of the year!
