RECENT FORM VS. MINNESOTA UNITED FC

Saturday night's showdown will be just the fifth all-time meeting between the Revs and Loons since Minnesota entered MLS as an expansion team in 2017, and it's a series that has been dominated by the home teams. The Revs have won all three meetings at Gillette Stadium - most recently last June when Dylan Borrero's first MLS goal and a late Gustavo Bou free kick earned the Revs a 2-1 victory in Matt Turner's sendoff game - while the Loons triumphed in the only previous contest in Minnesota. It's been more than five years since that trip to Minneapolis when MNUFC was still playing at TCF Bank Stadium, making this weekend the Revolution's first-ever visit to Allianz Field.

New England (13-5-8, 47 pts.) hits the road having picked up four points from last week's homestand, claiming a 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls before settling for a frustrating 2-2 draw with Austin FC. Despite their disappointment the Revs are now the only team in MLS with an unbeaten record at home (10-0-4), and they remain second in the Eastern Conference standings and third in the overall MLS table with just eight games left on the schedule. The Revs (26 GP) also maintain a game in hand on every team above the playoff line in the East except the Philadelphia Union.

Minnesota (9-8-9, 36 pts.) are very much in the thick of the playoff race in the Western Conference, currently sitting in seventh place, just five points behind second-place Seattle Sounders FC but also just three points above the playoff line. Adrian Heath's side has been reinvigorated through the late summer, making a run to the Leagues Cup quarterfinals before resuming MLS play with points from four straight games (2-0-2). In fact, going back to mid-July just before the start of Leagues Cup, Minnesota are 3-0-3 in their last six league games. They have, however, surprisingly struggled at Allianz Field, winning just three of their first 12 home games (3-2-7) this season.

The Revolution's three-game road swing will continue through the heart of September, with trips to Colorado (September 16) and Chicago (September 23) following this weekend's journey to Minnesota.

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform for the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.

The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
