RECENT FORM VS. TORONTO FC
This will be the second and final meeting between New England and Toronto FC this regular season, as the Revs went north of the border and claimed a 2-0 win at BMO Field in early May. That victory stretched the Revolution's unbeaten run in this series to four games (2-0-2) dating back to the summer of 2021, with three of those results coming in Toronto. Oddly enough the Revs haven't been quite as successful against TFC at home, going winless (0-2-2) in the last four showdowns at Gillette Stadium, with their last home win over Toronto coming back in 2018.
Back-to-back 3-1 wins over Inter Miami CF and Orlando City SC have pushed the Revolution's unbeaten run to five games (2-0-3) as they've climbed back into third place in the Supporters' Shield standings, just two points back of second-place Nashville SC. Ema Boateng, Gustavo Bou, and Carles Gil were the goal scorers last weekend as the Revs scored three or more goals for the fifth time in nine home games, improving their home record to 6-0-3 and remaining one of just three teams leaguewide that's unbeaten at home. The nine-game run without a loss matches the longest unbeaten stretch to begin a home schedule in club history.
Toronto FC have drawn three straight to push their own unbeaten run to four (1-0-3) heading into a midweek visit to FC Cincinnati, and Bob Bradley's side has done it with a resolute defense. The Canadian club has conceded just four goals in their last six games heading into the Wednesday night meeting with FCC, and haven't allowed multiple goals in a game since mid-May. They continue to struggle on the road, however, going 0-4-4 to remain one of just three teams in MLS without a win on their travels.
Saturday night's showdown wraps up the Revolution's three-game homestand as they aim to close it out with a perfect nine points, before heading back out on the road for trips to FC Cincinnati and the New York Red Bulls to begin July.
